Update & Link! | Archy Ang

This is what i do. Well, I’ve been working pretty consistently all over Nevada for the last few months, which has been great. The cats are doing fine – they must keep each other pretty entertained while I’m gone – and so am I. It’s been very hot though. I have decided to start keeping a photo journal, which is here. As of July 2011… | Archy Ang
https://ameyerhoff.wordpress.com/2011/07/23/as-of-july-2011
This is what i do. As of July 2011…. Well, it’s a little over being midway through the year, so it’s about time for an update I suppose. As I’m pretty sure everyone knows, I am ‘shovelbumming’ no more. By that, I mean I’m still doing all the same kind of work, but now I’m not hopping between companies. Instead, I have a staff position with the company that initially brought me out to Nevada for that huge project back in 2009. I started at the end of March and so far it’s been great! Quick and dirty update.

This is what i do. Tonopah Crescent Dunes Survey. Just did a 2600 acre survey in Tonopah, NV – even had to survey parts of the big sand dunes that are there! They’re putting in a huge solar-panel field in the valley, so we get to see what’s out there before they start working on building the panel arrays. Taking a short rest while someone checks on whether the flake just found is a site or not. And I’m the most conspicuous ninja on the planet. A whiskey bottle we found. It’s a rock! The company that̵...

Time for fall | Archy Ang
https://ameyerhoff.wordpress.com/2010/10/08/time-for-fall
This is what i do. Looks like the hot weather is finally starting to wind down here. We’ve had a few rainstorms, but nothing drastic yet, should be pretty chilly by the beginning of November though… which means it’s almost time to put the top back on my Jeep. 😦. In Reno… and WORKING | Archy Ang
https://ameyerhoff.wordpress.com/2010/11/15/in-reno-and-working
This is what i do. In Reno… and WORKING. I finally get to do a job in my own town! I get to sleep in my own bed every night! Except for the part where I’m basically standing around for 8 hours a day watching a bunch of construction/driller guys push buttons. Laquo; Time for fall. A little down time. A little down time | Archy Ang
https://ameyerhoff.wordpress.com/2011/01/18/a-little-down-time
This is what i do. A little down time. Well, it’s that time of year again. Snow is on the ground and I don’t work. It’s frustrating, especially when the weather in Reno itself is gorgeous, it’s just the rest of the state that isn’t cooperating! So I’m just laying low, keeping in contact with the companies in the area and thinking about a temporary job to give me something to do until field work starts up again. EDIT: And of course, immediately after posting this, I get a call about possible work.

Jim and Phyllis: the only "cane" we have is Hurricane Rick
http://jpmeyerhoff.blogspot.com/2009/10/only-cane-we-have-is-hurricane-rick.html
After years of pressure from our son and grandkids to enter the digital world, we finally have our own blog where we can keep our friends and family up-to-date on what we are doing. Tuesday, October 20, 2009. The only "cane" we have is Hurricane Rick. Hurricane Rick is threatening the Baja Coast. It's supposed to hit the Baja and then swing north and east and hit the west coast of Mexico north of us. We got some gray skies, wind and rain yesterday. Here's a picture from Sunday night. Here Comes The Rain.

After years of pressure from our son and grandkids to enter the digital world, we finally have our own blog where we can keep our friends and family up-to-date on what we are doing. Tuesday, November 11, 2008. I tried to publish a post while we were in Mazatlan but I got the Spanish BlogSpot. That wasn't going to work so I waited until we got home. On Halloween we headed home for 48 hours. Everything went like clockwork. We made all our connecting flights and enjoyed our 25th Hall of Fame Banquet.

After years of pressure from our son and grandkids to enter the digital world, we finally have our own blog where we can keep our friends and family up-to-date on what we are doing. Saturday, March 28, 2009. Kenzie came for a visit. Kenzie is staying with us this week. We've been taking walks and enjoying her company. She found lots of interesting things down at the fairgrounds! Canadian geese, little birds, a bunny and puddles galore. Posted by Jim and Phyllis. Friday, March 20, 2009. Sunday morning we ...
