JD's Journey with Spinal Muscular Atrophy! Team JD Kids Foundation. JD is a typical 16 year old boy! He has a vent (life support machine) to help him breath, a trach tube in his neck that the vent connects to so he can breath. He has a g-tube in his stomach to help him eat. A wheelchair to ride in. And an Eye-gaze system (computer w/camera) so he can speak. All of these things on the outside, people see as no quality of life! I see it as, giving a life a chance! Thank you for your input! We didn't get a chance back in August to do any fundraising for any one cause that we believe in so much! With these wristbands we hope to be able to do that now!
