Birds in the Attic, Water in the Basement. The story of our life and home. Thursday, September 8, 2011. Dear Toilet, I still miss you. It's been 11 1/2 weeks since our bathroom was intact, though I suppose "intact" may be a bit of stretch in describing its condition. However, since then, it's been much less intact. That said, it will be lovely when this bathroom is DONE. The tile guys came this morning to prep for the tile. Our house is 100 years old, so the floors aren't totally level. This morn...Tomor...

Birds in the Attic, Water in the Basement: June 2012
http://birdsintheattic.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Birds in the Attic, Water in the Basement. The story of our life and home. Saturday, June 16, 2012. I am so grateful for my husband. He's the man of my dreams, and the best father to our children I could ask for. (Have I mentioned that we're having another baby? I know it's been a while since I've blogged. We've got a little boy arriving at the end of October.). In honor of Bob, I'm posting this video that he loves. He quotes it year-round. Yes, he's living and loving the dad life. Little House That Grew.

8230;or did she? Long overdue Josie updates! April 9, 2009 in Josie. Josie is so stinkin’ cute! 8230;avocado, yogurt, fruit, dried figs. 8230;riding in the grocery cart. 8230;eating dirt, mulch, or just about anything else that’s gross in the backyard. 8230;”helping” mommy fold the laundry (by tearing apart all of my piles and scattering the clothes everywhere). I still praise her for helping. =). 8230;standing up in her high chair (even though we strap her in as tightly as we can! 8230;eating dog food.

Birds in the Attic, Water in the Basement: I don't get it.
http://birdsintheattic.blogspot.com/2011/07/i-dont-get-it.html
Birds in the Attic, Water in the Basement. The story of our life and home. Monday, July 18, 2011. I don't get it. We had a wonderful weekend visiting friends in Ohio. We stayed with some dear friends who have a dairy farm. Before we left, we stopped by the calf barn so the kids could see (and smell, and hear, and touch) some calves. They were beautiful, and we had a lot of fun. I watched Food, Inc. Now, organic isn't enough for me. I keep getting crunchier. My question to Bob was this:. What kind of worl...

Birds in the Attic, Water in the Basement: January 2011
http://birdsintheattic.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Birds in the Attic, Water in the Basement. The story of our life and home. Monday, January 10, 2011. We need to hire an in-home nurse. And then Sunday morning, Bob woke up to some nausea, chills, and body aches. And Will's fighting a bad case of diarrhea. (I know. TMI. I'm grossed out, too.). Will it never end? Wednesday, January 5, 2011. I am in love. With these house numbers. And, lucky for me, Bob bought them for me for Christmas! I can't wait for them to be "installed" . At our first house, we did re...

When I know I have better things to do and don't want to do them, this is where I go to waste my time. Sunday, July 12, 2009. Holy cows (as Evan would say). it's been a while. So much to update. Having a smaller place with no dictator over me means I can leave the place a little messy and enjoy a book! So the book of choice this week is. The Hour I First Believed. By Wally Lamb. SO GOOD. Okay, that's all. I promise to try to write more frequently from now on. :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
