Five years ago I was diagnosed with celiac disease and food allergies. I was told a gluten-free diet would solve my woes. NOT TRUE! Not only did most products taste like a shoe but they were loaded with starch, sugar, preservatives, and made in cross-contaminated facilities. Food should be ENJOYED, not feared! July 20, 2015. Would you like some warm, soft pretzels? They’re especially good dipped in strong mustard. Gluten-free awareness is far more ubiquitous now than it was ten years ago. However, most people still can’t believe that something gluten-free could taste good. I’ve done quite a bit of press and television where I feed the interviewer something we have made. And always the same amazed expression rises to the face. Whoa! However, when I think of this as a chance to connect, I love this process again...
