The finest yarn I used previously was a 20/1 linen. I had to use something thinner than that, so I used a yarn that had been in my stash for quite a while. It is a blend of 80% tensel and 20% silk and is quite shiny and a light eggshell color. The pattern I chose is from Marguerite Davison's book, A Handweaver's Pattern Book.

Sunday, July 12, 2015. Good friends, Penny and Sheila, are visiting us from Madison, WI. They are, in fact, spending part of their honeymoon with us, as they were able to get married soon after the Supreme Courts ruling a few weeks ago. They actually got married on the day of their 26th anniversary of being together! I tied the linen and wool warp onto the wool one, weaving a strip of plain weave first to keep all the ends in order and make them easier to find.
