Monday, November 21, 2011. Humitas Peruanas (sweet tamales) - English and Español. Para Español, mire por abajo. These are a little step up from the Costco tamales I adored when I was a kid. Humitas can be filled with whatever your little heart desires, and the butter and sugar in the batter makes them a little desserty. Their name means "little steamed thing". Corn husks (you may find these at a Mexican grocery). Sugar to taste (About a 1/4 c. depending on how sweet you want them). 50 g butter, softened.
