The team is now in the Norming stage. So what the heck does that mean? It’s hard to say exactly how long the Norming stage will last and the transition into the Performing stage is sometimes subtle. I've been thinking a lot about Lead Time lately. I was doing some research for a customer and going through a lot of materials on the current efforts within the lean environment. Then something hit me. There is a lot of focus on different projects and activities. But for what gain? What's the goal to be achieved? This wasn't clear or even discussed.
