Say it loud, and there's music playing: June 2014
http://sayitloudandtheresmusicplaying.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Say it loud, and there's music playing. Sunday, June 8, 2014. It's not something that I inherited or bought. It's the creation of my own labors of getting to know people, serving people, loving people, and spending good time with them. Even the part of my network that I arguably did inherit, my family, is still in some part my own handiwork. I engaged in the same behaviors and habits of actively cultivating relationships and being genuinely interested in other people. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Say it loud, and there's music playing: It's not fair . . . to compare
http://sayitloudandtheresmusicplaying.blogspot.com/2014/03/its-not-fair-to-compare.html
Say it loud, and there's music playing. Friday, March 7, 2014. It's not fair . . . to compare. I just reread my last post. Which was almost 11 months ago. Let's just say it's been a very intense year. And maybe sometime I'll post some stories, because they may be useful to other people who are going through challenging things. Maybe when the stories aren't quite so close to home. And you know the only way that it doesn't drive me crazy, this train of thought? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). All the b...

Say it loud, and there's music playing: October 2011
http://sayitloudandtheresmusicplaying.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Say it loud, and there's music playing. Thursday, October 13, 2011. It's been a great week. Good progress on sewing projects, an evening run to the hot tub generously shared to us by the Boys on Laurelhurst (we are the Girls on Blaine, it works quite nicely). I have almost all the necessary components for my Halloween costume, which will be fun. A very busy, full few days at work. Consider the sweet, tender children who must suffer on this earth. He clothes the lilies of the field. And the response came ...

Say it loud, and there's music playing: May 2014
http://sayitloudandtheresmusicplaying.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Say it loud, and there's music playing. Sunday, May 18, 2014. Creativity, energy, love, and kindness. All kinds of magic. In some cases, neat chemical reactions take place. In some cases, the electron emits light. And do you know what happens when I get kicked into a higher energy level? And know what the first and great commandment is? Sunday, May 11, 2014. I wish I'd had the opportunity to get to know my mom as a peer. I feel like my big growing-up years of high school and college were the years th...

The Homeostacies: Paklenica National Park, Croatia
http://stephenandemily.blogspot.com/2015/07/paklenica-national-park-croatia.html
Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Paklenica National Park, Croatia. We spent Father's Day 2015 (June 21) hiking in Paklenica National park just outside of Starigrad, Croatia. It was a climber's paradise and also had plenty of hiking with gorgeous views. Ella was, as always, an incredible hiker and Ivan did well on his first big hike. She was also content and somewhat bribed to stay in the backpack with Meelamo (Nemo). She had to carry that little guy around everywhere. After our hike, we went and soaked our toes...

The Quin"ski"'s: May 2012
http://quinskis.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Lake Mead 2012 was a complete success! That is, after a 100 degree day, where Elliott refused to eat or drink anything, but we got through it. (Let's not forget to mention how much of a crazy mom I am, and over react, a little, sometimes) Friday and Saturday were much better days, and we had a great time! We took some great friends with us, who were in Hawaii for a week, flew to Vegas from Hawaii to meet us at the lake. We had so much fun! Thanks for coming Steve and Missy! Blogger...

The Homeostacies: Pula and Fazana
http://stephenandemily.blogspot.com/2015/08/pula-and-fazana.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. On June 25 we woke up in Fazana, after having traveled most of the day on the 24th. We planned to go to the beach, but after getting there and seeing how the kids responded to the cold water, we gave up and decided to go into Pula instead. It ended up being a great change and we all enjoyed our day visiting the ancient ruins of a city that has been around for a long, long time. Emily: Everybody say, "Pula! On our way back to walked through some tunnels built during WWI. They ...

The Homeostacies: Just Lviv It Part 2
http://stephenandemily.blogspot.com/2015/07/just-lviv-it-part-2.html
Sunday, July 12, 2015. Just Lviv It Part 2. If one were to compile a list of history's most prominent Leopolitans (Leopolitan is actually the true demonym for somebody from Lviv, although I have also seen Lvivians used), a name that will surely make the list—for better or for worse—is Leopold von Sacher-Masoch. One fact will give you a fairly good hunch about the man: the term masochism. Is derived from his writings and his personal character. He was the 50 Shades of Grey. Aaron and Julie Varney. Picture...

The Homeostacies: Zadar, Croatia
http://stephenandemily.blogspot.com/2015/08/zadar-croatia.html
Wednesday, August 5, 2015. On June 23 we headed into Zadar, Croatia. It was a short drive from Starigrad and after the main headache of finding parking, we found a charming ancient city full of Roman ruins. Here's Emily in all her preggo glory at 19 weeks. Still didn't know the gender at this point. All three kids had a ball climbing, jumping and running all around the ruins. It was interesting to see them just pop out of the modern city with no monitoring or signs to stay off. August 9, 2015 at 4:46 PM.
