Thank you Lord for all you have done! Early Childhood Development Centre. Sukume Museum and Xhosa Cultural Centre. One of the creches fed by the joint project of the Walmer Soup Kitchen and Jerusalem Ministries. 450 hundred and fifty underprivileged children are helped to have 2 meals a day. Jerusalem Ministries does all the physical work (deliveries and checking on utilization) for the Walmer Soup Kitchen. Food is distributed to an adult soup kitchen and 13 creches within the Walmer Township.

To ensure that Orphans and vulnerable children in Gqebera are properly cared for in private homes in the community. Enable them to have education, health (including nutrition) and emotional support. Orphans and vulnerable children and others infected or afflicted by HIV/Aids will be supported emotionally. Improve the quality of life for Orphans and vulnerable children.

A support group is run to help orphaned children and children of terminally ill parents deal with the issues that they are facing. Fun outings are arranged and they are encouraged to make their lives meaningful. Some of these children are themselves infected. Some of the children who partook in the 2007 Aids Day Rememberance function. The adult support group Ministers of the Walmer Township.
