May has now past but I must just post a couple of photos of the Laburnum slightly before it was in full bloom but so easy to miss the moment when you are busy in the garden. What can you see hidden in this Choisya? As I walked towards the bush there must have been about 20 Rose Chafer beetles. Another year I saw them in flight - oh what clumsy insects they are and quite noisy as they pass by. I even found a mating pair.

I'm still on plaquenil, biaxin, and tetracycline, and I feel pretty darn good. Oh, I still have issues, often daily. Another odd thing about Plaquenil: if you take it for a month, and then just stop, you have probably messed up your bowels permanently. I'm not sure I get this. But it's a long-term treatment, and I have to see it through. Should be no problem. I'm guessing I'll be on it for six months. What's in the barn. The other day I was treated to four bright yellow male American Goldfinches, and a host of drab brown/yellow females.
