Read more about me. Here I am,this is me. The day I went crazy. Marți, 31 martie 2009 Publicat de Andra. On topic,de ce the day I went crazy? And between you and me,do some other ten million things as important. My bursting heart must find vent at my pen: Thoughts from Transylvania: May 2009
http://tarapeacecorps.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
My bursting heart must find vent at my pen: Thoughts from Transylvania. Sunday, May 24, 2009. A night out in Cund. Last night, our friend Gheza invited Relu, Dana and myself to head out to the village he grew up in. All I knew was that there would be drinking and jazz.so naturally I was up for it! We sat down, and to my surprise we were told that everything was complementary tonight. I loved hearing that! Check out the website of, Valea Verde. An old Transylvanian farmhouse restored into a guesthouse.

Mike in Romania: November 2009
http://norkinromania.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Adventures of a Peace Corps volunteer in Eastern Europe. Monday, November 2, 2009. Back in the land of big cars, frozen foods and green money. So I'm back. I've been here for nearly three weeks now. Things here are just big. Period. Even tubes of toothpaste are huge! Although, there is at least one item that's decidedly smaller around these parts: the common beer bottle. Other things of note:. It's strange to have access to dishwashers and microwaves. At one point my mother walked into the kitchen to...

Mike in Romania: August 2009

Adventures of a Peace Corps volunteer in Eastern Europe. Tuesday, August 18, 2009. From album: Carpathian Adventure Race. Monday, August 17, 2009. I recently wrote a farewell letter to the town of Lugoj and sent it in to Redesteptarea. The local newspaper. Here's what I said:. School is over and my time here in Romania is quickly coming to a close. Unfortunately, I won’t be teaching English at Brediceanu next year. It is amazing how fast the past two years have gone! You don’t make any money! I leave Lug...

My bursting heart must find vent at my pen: Thoughts from Transylvania: July 2009
http://tarapeacecorps.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
My bursting heart must find vent at my pen: Thoughts from Transylvania. Friday, July 31, 2009. A great reminder of what it means to have a "servant's heart". As the last day of July is quietly put to bed I figured I better write about the past month. It began with relaxation after a fantastic vacation in Greece with my family and ended with more relaxing, but in between was craziness! Satu Mare and camp pictures. Posted for your enjoyment by. Thursday, July 16, 2009. Just across the hall. Crazy I immedia...

Saturday, August 22, 2009. Summer is almost over. I heard this the other day, and I wanted to share it with you to give you a tiny idea of the size of Transylvania. Transylvania is a geographic region of Romania, east of Hungary, approximately the size of the state of Indiana. A highlight would have to be the first nigh...

My bursting heart must find vent at my pen: Thoughts from Transylvania: Farewell Tarnaveni
http://tarapeacecorps.blogspot.com/2010/06/farewell-tarnaveni.html
My bursting heart must find vent at my pen: Thoughts from Transylvania. Tuesday, June 29, 2010. I think that realization is also the source of many of my feelings about returning home to Indiana. It's a mixture between fear and excitement, but I know that it's where I belong now. My time in Romania and the Peace Corps has shown me that I'm a Hoosier at heart and I belong in a small town, specifically the small town that watched me grow up.now it's time for me to give back.
