One foot in front of the other. March 23, 2015. On Sunday I took part in a fun run in aid of Foodbank. I ran with a friend and we kept a pretty good pace. The second lap was faster than the first. Luckily the weather was fine. Cold, but dry and little wind (although around the lake it always seems pretty windy). I worked pretty hard to keep up with my friend, although she pulled away over the last couple of metres. So I thought it pretty funny when she commented afterwards how I had helped keep up. Creat...

A nice route too, past brooks and along balancing lakes, all the way to the National Bowl and back. Distance: 10.26mi, time: 01:35:19, pace: 9:18min/mi, speed: 6.46mi/h. Fatty to Janathon Fitty. Operation couch to 10k. January 18, 2016. Fatty to Janathon Fitty. This could be my only form of Janathon activity for the rest of the month while my old lady hip isn’t very happy. I called up the doctor today and well, Thursday 28th is the first appointment they have so quite possibly I will be changing Janathon to plankathon and February to Febathon. But back to my plank. I’m getting better every time. Today I managed 62 seconds. Who knows, tomorrow I could crack 65 big ones.

All in all it’s been a tough year, I still feel I am coming to terms with our son coming back to live with us back in July, and the subsequent problems after, until he was permanently removed with the decision taken that he wouldn’t live here ever again, even after almost 4 months since he left, and a few social worker meetings, things still seem strange.
