Julie's maid of honor was Kristen Carpenter; her bridesmaid was Leah Shadle. John's best man was Paul Christensen; his groomsman was John Menicucci. Wednesday, September 3, 2008. Ludwigsburg Palace (sans John). We spent all day Sunday touring the palace buildings and grounds. It was quite impressive. However, if you ever decide to go, make sure you wear a comfortable pair of shoes. The guided tour itself was almost two hours long. The inner palace courtyard. The "wine shack" on the palace grounds. Giant chandeliers in the main ballroom. The Hall of War. I'm not gonna lie - it kinda creeped me out. The Hall of Ancestors. Close-up of palace exterior.
