Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Last week I was in Tela, Honduras and Roatan, Honduras on a mission trip with the UAB School of Optometry. Tela is a small city with hotels and restaraunts and a pretty beach.not as beautiful as our beaches! We (6 doctors and 19 students) did eye exams for 4 days and saw 1200 patients! I was completely exhausted and had some serious cankles! I am still recovering! I am so proud of everyone on the trip.I am so lucky to know such wonderful caring people! She was so grateful!
