John's Virtualisation/Security Blog. Security is a process not a destination. Attacking additional virtualisation infrastructure. I should start by stating that in almost all documents regarding live migration, High Availability (HA) and Fault tolerance configurations, it is stated that these networks. Be placed on isolated networks that are not shared or accessible by unauthorised individuals. In an article by (Siebert, 2011) it specifically states to:. All of the RAM of VM1 is copied over the vMotion n...

John's Virtualisation/Security Blog. Security is a process not a destination. I know that this a deviation from my series on virtualisation security, however I feel it’s worth it. There is also the idea that once public key cryptography is more widely adopted among end users, it would not be out of the question to see users public keys stored in address books alongside addresses and birthdays. Maybe the future isn’t going to be as dark as we thought. Laquo; Mitigation techniques for management interfaces.

John's Virtualisation/Security Blog. Security is a process not a destination. Virtual environments introduce a host of new features that are designed to increase the availability and manageability of computer systems. These features include the ability to move live virtual machines across physical hosts with little to no disruption to service and even automatically shift entire workloads and power off unnecessary physical hosts, to better utilise power consumption. Microsoft , 2012. Lewis, M., 2002.

Poem of the month. Welcome to my website! I am a poet, performer, author and translator. I've written extensively for BBC radio and published books and articles in the fields of literature and religion. As a poet, I believe that obscurity is not profundity, and that obscenity is not originality. I write in 'traditional' metres - and many of my poems are intended for public performance as well as private reading. Why not visit "Poem of the month" as well as the downloads page?

John Couzins Photography – A Collection of work to complement his exhibtion at the National Gallery
John was planning a Gallery Exhibition of his own work for some time but sadly passed away on July 4th 2009 without initiating the project. His intentions were further enhanced when The National Portrait Gallery approached him in 2008 regarding their Ida Kar exhibition which ran from 10. The family members felt it appropriate to fulfil his intentions albeit in a broader website based display of images. There may also be a Gallery Exhibition at some stage in the future. 8211; Commercial and Advertising.

Musings about development, emergency response, and parenting. My Experience With The Apple Watch. Every push notification that comes to your phone will come to your watch automatically, with no set up. If the notification or message requires more attention, then you can pull out your phone (or iPad or computer) and deal with it that way. You will be surprised how many times it’s just not that convenient to pull out your phone, or it’s not nearby. The watch is a great “notifier”. June 24, 2015. If you wri...
