Sunday, September 27, 2009. September 27, 2009. We broke from local tradition and had a HOME birthday party. No play center, no petting zoo, no swimming pool party (though Christina would have loved that! Dressed in black secret agent clothes and sporting their secret agent passports, the kids set out in two teams in a race to find a trail of clues. An aluminum briefcase full of candy! The kids all had a great time. and they all left with more candy than they could carry. Happy 6th Birthday Christina!

http://shaffertravels.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 20, 2010. Passover meal at church. March 20, 2010. Scott and I have never had an opportunity to attend a passover meal back in the US, so when a Jews for Jesus missionary was booked to come to our church in Bourne we jumped at the chance. After our trip to Israel this past fall (our #1 trip of our European experience), both of us have a much more focused understanding of our christian relationship with both the Jews and to the land of Israel. That made this meal even more special. Jeanne ...

Sunday, July 4, 2010. Goodbye Party with BBC. Our church house group that shared our American Thanksgiving with us also wanted to host a goodbye party for us. Funny thing was that our only available date was July 4! So on the day we celebrated our country's independence from England we also mourned our coming separation from them. Monday, March 23, 2009. A (half) perfect trip! Alright. on to the good stuff. We had BEAUTIFUL weather. We picked up our two rentacars and began at the giants causeway. This was the primary reason for coming up to this portion of Ireland! The walk then came to a steep staircase down. The walkway was still in the shade due to the season, so though slightly mossy and slippery, we all made it down the cliffside to the lower trail. Spent hours there. Bryce. The orange dot is Bryce! Occurred, they ar. Heights...

Thursday, February 25, 2010. Penmanship award goes to. Christina again! February 25, 2010. We love the awards and encouragement that they give in the schools over here. Saturday, February 20, 2010. And then the Battle of Hastings. February 19-20, 2010. They also had a makeshift hospital. Unfortunately, they didn't all...
