Jon and I met on a blind date at BYU - Idaho during the Fall 2011 semester. Jon had recently returned home from his mission in June of 2011 from Arcadia, CA. He returned home and started the new semester in September. I was still attending school and was just beginning my Junior year. Don't allow the Voles of the world to eat through your testimony. Gardening has been one of the most amazing blessings in our family's life. There have been so many things that we've learned about gardening, but also so many amazing spiritual lessons and applications. I pulled up a few more carrots, only to find the same thing. This is what the voles had done to our poor carrots:. They had burrowed beneath the ground, and tunneled through my carrots, leaving only the outer skin and the green stalk.

Tuesday, June 30, 2015. There's ducks in them thar hills! Again, another few busy weeks here in Wisconsin and in Idaho. Jon and I drove home near the middle of June to attend my Nelson extended family reunion. It was such an incredible experience to see family members I haven't seen in years. Last year on the Monday before Thanksgiving we made a "Thankful Tree" for Family Home Evening. We wrote down what we're thankful for on leaves and taped them on a tree trunk.
