Coloured glue and plywood. The term bricoleur is used to describe a state of mind. the method is to collect allready defined objects, that together creates a new perspective on shape and material. Collecting and saving objects to combine them in a bigger constallation leaves the creator to his role as a survivor that quickly can make an assemblage and solve a problem, with what is at hand. look becomes irrationel – method and proces becomes evident.

In 2010 i decided to seek out the possibility to live without any solution to living essentials. In a series of experiments i created objects from found materials, that could be shaped simultaneously with the need for the functionality. it became a journey into a new rational behaviour and a collage of non space materials, that would be shaped into existence by the need for survival and interest in creating tools for living.

Benches in oakwood and black mdf. Oakwood and coloured mdf. What defines the space is a collection og objects in relation with eachother. The in-between space occurs when surfaces correspond to eachother by size colour or other similarities. A repetition of the shape and the use of the benches resolves in a playful attitude and questions our needs for space and interacting with the objects around us.

Plant fibres and Mycelium. The lamps consist of plant fibre and mushroom-mycelium. The lamp is grown into shape during a period of 2-3 weeks, where the mushroom mycelium grows together the plant fibres into a flexible and soft living textile. After 2 weeks you can harvest the healthy Oyster mushrooms. The waste product ‘shaped as a lamp’ can then be dried and used as a lightweight material, that is both organic, compostable and sustainable.

We’ve had a great summer! The boys are starting to play together more and more. Jonas is scooting along, exploring the house doing his ‘army crawl’. He loves to clap - anytime he is glad, he lets us know by clapping. He’s starting to babble more and our favorite sound is the two boys making each other laugh our loud. Pretty special times! To celebrate Mother’s Day, we enjoyed a hike at the lake near our house. Jonas is close to rolling over; he’s working hard on it and he’s almost there!
