Jessica Jane: Being Healthy is Too Hard
http://jessicajane1.blogspot.com/2013/09/being-healthy-is-too-hard.html
Monday, September 9, 2013. Being Healthy is Too Hard. Given my "diet" of mostly real foods, my bagged lunches I bring to work can evoke a little bit of curiousity. I'm the weird one eating a " meat bagel. Triple meat bagel sandwich in all its wonderful glory. This is a very common phenomena. Being healthy, fit, exercising regularly, and eating well is HARD. If it was easy, everyone would do it right? And obviously, we sure don't have an epidemic of lean people right now. Cutting yourself off from someth...

Jessica Jane: Expectations For Your Personal Trainer
http://jessicajane1.blogspot.com/2013/11/expectations-for-your-personal-trainer.html
Sunday, November 10, 2013. Expectations For Your Personal Trainer. I was speaking with another trainer this evening, and we both agreed that there isn't really a "standard" for personal trainers. There are hundreds of different certifications, and unfortunately a lot of them aren't accredited. Basically, anybody. 1 Being genuinely supportive throughout your fitness journey. And amusing video) about how to not. Be a good personal trainer. His main point? Personal trainers should do more than just prescrib...

Jessica Jane: About
http://jessicajane1.blogspot.com/p/biography.html
What do I have to say that hasn't been said before? This is a "health" blog, but not in the conventional sense, nor the rigid sense. I want this blog to help you discover what is the best option for you, specifically. Again, most people latch on to these gurus because they are so insecure that they need somebody they feel they can "trust". It's fine to trust your preferred fitness professional, but the person you should always trust more. Because sometimes you just gotta say screw it and have a dacquiri.

On May 28th, 2012. Well, it seems I have survived the zombie apocalypse (survival of the fittest bishes! And haven’t been able to squeeze out a post for the blog in what seems like an eternity. Sometimes things like life and zombies get in the way but that doesn’t mean your goals are derailed. It just means that you have to overcome a few obstacles before you can get back on track. Like I mentioned a few weeks ago, between moving, getting engaged, starting a new position at MyoForce. Now that you know wh...

Jessica Jane: December 2012
http://jessicajane1.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 27, 2012. Merry Christmas from GA! Good things are coming in 2013. My first year out of college, although I have learned you're never really "out of school". Every day is a new lesson, a new learning experience. And I wouldn't have it any other way! A killer weight lifting session in dad's garage gym (still not used to Colorado altitude, so I kicked major ass that day), a morning run in the brisk Georgia air with my man (with our matching Vibrams! Saturday, December 15, 2012. I wanted ...

Sunday, June 30, 2013. GUARANTEED Better Health, Better Body, Better Sex! It's summer. So, no surprise that you've probably seen DOZENS of different "weight loss challenges" that focus on the seemingly common goal of LOOK GOOD NOW! For some people, this is great. The short time-frame gives them a swift kick in the ass to get going, the community's support keeps them motivated, and making their goal public holds them liable (because god forbid you publicly FAIL at something! Instead of exercising with the...

Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Anti-inflammatory Diet for Better Recovery. If I didn't go to school to learn about physical therapy, I'm almost certain I would have gotten a degree in nutrition. Likes to be told what to eat, all I can do is gently educate, provide them with resources, and wait for them to approach this lifestyle on their own. And of course, lead by example! Beets, carrots, sweet potatoes, turnips, winter/summer squash, pumpkin, etc. Coconut (meat, oil, butter, milk, etc.), clean* lard, b...
