Kinda dry on links, but if you want me to link, feel free to let me know at webmaster@jonfmorse.com. She's the queen of this here links page. Glenn McDonald's "The War Against Silence.". Absolutely the best music review site on the planet - not because of the music reviews, but because of the writing. Check it out. This site pisses a lot of people off who take themselves too seriously, which means it's worth reading.

Will reside, once I'm done transcribing paper notes, the entire catalog of the lyrics I've written. This ain't poetry. By my definition, lyrics and poetry are two separate beasts, because lyrics sort of need to be written to a melody, whereas poetry (free verse excepted, natch) should subscribe to some sort of meter. Through my 1987 work, each piece was written with a particular band setup in mind:. My second band, more serious on the musicianship, but a little hamstrung by image. Chris, my best frie...

This map (last updated: 14 DEC 05) shows what counties in the United States I have been to. "Been to, in all cases, means I've driven through the county, or at least driven around the county after having flown in. (The latter case is only true for the Orlando area.). Some people might wonder, "Why keep track of that? Anyway, you'll note that the map is colored based on when I first. Visited the county depicted. All. Enter a county. Details here. US only: 1919/3142, 61.1% complete. Road Trip: July 2002.

While Bonds Has Your Attention. You probably missed something going on right under your nose. Scott Hairston homered - in Petco Park, no less - on three consecutive at bats. His first shot was a two-run blow in the bottom of the eighth last night to tie the game at three. Two innings later, he ended the game with a tenth-inning walk-off job, and then he led off the top of the first tonight by putting one in the left-field seats. I'm not sure I saw. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post.

First, congratulations to Tom Glavine. We probably won't see anyone else do that for at least another 15 years, 'cause it doesn't look like anyone's currently on track to get there. No, it's about a simple little fact, and one which struck me immediately as a total WTF moment. 2003 NCLS, the Bartman game in Chicago? What business at all? Post a new comment. The "True Road Game" or "When a Site Isn't Neutral". Full disclosure; I wouldn't be making this post, nor would I even have begun considering the issue, had it not been a result of considering my own team's situation. Having said that, my position would be the same even if I had come across this while reading about the hated Jayhawks. Hell, I'd go so far as to say a KSU-Alabama game in Atlanta might be a true road game for KSU, but I can easily accept a counter-argument there. After all, at some poin...

So, who is this clown, and why should we care? I'm an early forty-something system administrator who no longer works for a Very Large Company in Northern Virginia. I worked my way into the job; I had no administration experience whatsoever when I started working for the company, nor do I have a CS degree. I'm afraid this is going to work against me now that I've been laid off. Time, I can't stay focused long enough. To really accomplish anything. My teams are the Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs, S...

Yeah, I'm a big sports geek. Some people are other kinds of geeks, and that's fine for them. Me, I dig competition. Most of what's in this section is focussed on research of things which aren't commonly available on the bookshelves. Any fool can probably tell you what Mark Belanger hit for the Orioles in '75, or what Adrian Dantley's scoring average was for the Mavericks in '87, and it'll only take them a couple of minutes to find out. The stuff here. esoteric. Who Jon Roots For. The only time a school w...
