Yakos Corral: Thanksgiving Day
http://yakoscorral.blogspot.com/2012/12/thanksgiving-day.html
Friday, December 7, 2012. I'm a little behind in posting, so I'm going to try to catch y'all up to date this weekend. Let's start with Thanksgiving. Ours was wonderful, I hope yours was too! We spent Thanksgiving with my parents at our family's ranch. Here's a new little visitor on the ranch. The kids call him "Mini". He's not a permanent addition, although the twins would like him to be. We are selling him for a family friend. Maddie and Gracie love catching and riding him. Danicas Birthday Wrap Up.

Saturday, April 20, 2013. A Much Needed Update. I know it has been forever since I last posted! Shortly after my last post we got a HUGE surprise and found out I was pregnant with our fifth child! Pretty much the next day I got the worst morning sickness I've ever had. I've been sick ever since, but the last 2 weeks it has only been mornings and night. Before that it was all day and all night, yuck! But if you want to keep up with us you should follow me on Instagram @jessyakos. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Jo and the Tire. Wednesday, May 16, 2012. I realized that I never did a post about what we did on Joshie's birthday. I know you've been holding your breath waiting to hear what exciting things we did ;). Jo wanted a "Lord of the Rings" themed birthday. We also used these great "guys" (as Jo calls them) that Grandma Karen had gotten him for his birthday as part of our table decor. After cake we had an epic battle time. Then we moved on to presents. Then we went to McDonalds for lunch.

Yakos Corral: February 2012
http://yakoscorral.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 28, 2012. As of last weekend we have a new member in our household. Our sweet little boarder collie Gus. He's been a great dog so far. Of course there is the usually puppy stuff, but he is quick to learn. And eager to please. The kids are in love with him! And he is patient with them. Danica usually "cuddles" Gus by putting him in a head lock and saying "Oh, Gussy Gus" over and over. Gus in return does his best to squeeze out of her grasp, but it usually doesn't work. They got all dress...

Yakos Corral: January 2012
http://yakoscorral.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 24, 2012. Last week we got a ton of snow. It dumped inches and inches on us in just a couple days. Every ounce of snow that we had gotten since November had melted. There was even a day this month that Josh went out and raked, yes, raked. But all that unfallen snow was made up for in about two days. This table had been bare two days before. Knowing that this may be the only snow day they would ever get we did some extra fun stuff. We made Christmas ornaments. All that snow does provide a...

Monday, November 19, 2012. Life with a Right Brainer. Gracie is probably our most creative child. She is constantly thinking outside of the box, building things, making up games and plays, and creating art projects. Here's a good example. All the kids made Thanksgiving cards for my brother who is a solider and cannot come home for the holiday. This was Gracie's card. The turkey is on a platter amongst a Thanksgiving dinner. He is exclaiming in a shocked voice "What! Here George is telling Gracie a secret.

Yakos Corral: Danica's Birthday Wrap Up
http://yakoscorral.blogspot.com/2012/12/danicas-birthday-wrap-up.html
Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Danica's Birthday Wrap Up. Danica's third birthday was a success. She started the morning with our traditional birthday pancakes. When I asked her what kind of birthday she wanted she said "I want a pink party." That made life easy for me. For her birthday dinner she chose corn dogs and pizza. she's not health nut to say the least. Of course there were presents. Every time we would hand her a gift she would shut her eyes really tight and stick out her arms. Mo On the go.

Yakos Corral: September 2012

Thursday, September 27, 2012. Wedding Day Kid Parade. This past weekend some very close friends got married at our ranch. For us it was a full-on family affair. Josh officiated, the kids were part of the wedding party, and I did all the ranch work required to set up for a wedding (this sounds easier than it is, my back still aches). It was a very pretty wedding to begin with, but to add to it they had nine of the cutest kids in the world as their ring bearers and flower girls. The "Kid Parade" was a succ...

Yakos Corral: October 2012
http://yakoscorral.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 26, 2012. This week we carved our pumpkins. This is always a big process in our home because we have four kids, non of whom are able to carve their own pumpkins. But all of whom want their own pumpkin carved. Therefore, Josh and I end up carving six pumpkins over the course of the evening. First we make our way to a local farm to buy the cheapest an best pumpkins in town. If you live in/near Missoula and don't know about Benson's Farm you are missing out! And inspecting Dad's work. Not to...

Thursday, July 26, 2012. Twins and the Horse Show. Recently the twins had their second ever horse show. This is the horse Gracie showed, Itchy. And Maddie showed Best. They both did an amazing job and each ended up with a handful of ribbons. The show was down in Corvallis, MT and lasted for three days. On their first day they did modeling. This is where they lead their horse in a certain pattern and have them stand a certain way. They both did a great job! It's full of obstacles like opening a gate, walk...
