Journey to Independent Living for the Person that is Intellectually Disabled. Saturday, March 21, 2009. Cleaning is critical, but relatively easy looking at the new products out on the market. Get one of the toilet wands that are out with an extra supply of cleaning "pads" that go on them. Use environmentally safe products. Use sponges in the kitchen that can be tossed. Note: You can put them in the microwave for about 30 seconds every so often to help "steralize" them, somewhat). Use a microfiber duster.
