Saturday, July 24, 2010. I blame it on Facebook. This is as close as we have come to a family portrate. On July 7th we finalized Aubrey's adoption. The girls looked so cute in their matching dresses but I couldn't get a picture of them together. Jyly seems to have a little hoarding problem! Jyly is now 4 1/2 and has been with us for 2 1/2 years. Sunday, March 1, 2009. Jyly's trip to Florida. In January, Jeremy had to go to Orlando on business so we decided that he would take Jyly. While he was working she stayed with my mother in-law. The first weekend he was there, he took Jyly to Animal Kingdom. She had a great time! She got a first trip to Disney pin and the flight attendants on the plane let her help out on the flight home. A fun filled day at Animal Kingdom wore her right out! Jyly, Daddy, and Pooh. Big hugs for Pooh! Visits from my friends.

Our homestudy update is finally complete and we officially accepted our referral on February 13th. As soon as I got my copies of the homestudy, I sent in my I-600A to USCIS (immigration). However, they sent it back to me. Apparently, the El Paso office can not take personal checks at this time. So, off to the bank I went for a money order.

On July 7th the state of Texas officially declared us a family. It took us a year to get her home, nine months to complete our post placement requirements and get a court date, and ten minutes to make it official. It took me longer to find the right dresses for the girls than it took for the judge to rule. Aubrey slept through the entire thing.

Friday, July 15, 2011. Lets just say Disney was a fail. Mega summer crowds, intense heat made for one very unhappy (and uncooperative) boy. There were moments of fun, but not at all what I envisioned. Bummer. Oh well. We did Disney over spring break 2 years ago and said, NEVER again. At least during peak season.
