moral of the story: The “other” category.
http://estherglbloggers.blogspot.com/2012/05/other-category.html
Glendon and I go together like pb and j. Friday, May 25, 2012. The “other” category. Is it possible for a portrait to photo-bomb? 50% European, 50% East Asian. It’s a pretty sweet deal to be mixed. I get to experience two landscapes, two states, two cultures. Sometimes, though, I have to say I’m slightly – that is, very. What is your ethnicity? At this point I can either choose. Between my “two halves” or resign. Myself to the “other” category. I’m not simply a Glendon student,. Do our own thing. And per...

http://estherglbloggers.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Glendon and I go together like pb and j. Saturday, October 29, 2011. This was my Thursday: 8 hours of class. 12 hours on campus. Missing the bus. Finishing an essay last minute. Getting cut off in line. Showing up to class without my homework/books. Frantically catching up between classes. Feeling woozy from not eating/sleeping enough. Getting a quiz back with a 'C'. Questioning the meaning of life. Consoling myself with Haagen Dazs'. Alas, the night before. 8220;Shoot, we had to do that reading too?

That he made to the young people of Canada and the developed world. Here's the gist of what he said:. In the midst of injustice;. Dallaire was the Force...

Glendon and I go together like pb and j. Thursday, May 31, 2012. I'm changing my university major. And it's no big deal. A politics student with an identity crisis. In first year, I studied international development and political science, and in my second year I transferred to the international studies program. It was definitely an impressive answer for anyone who might ask what I was planning on doing with my life. So here I am, at ...

Dr Jean Michel Montsion is an assistant professor in the International Studies Program. EP: In two sentences, what is International Studies? http://estherglbloggers.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Glendon and I go together like pb and j. Saturday, February 25, 2012. Glendon is like poutine. I spent this week in Montréal in search of the best-tasting poutine in Quebec. I didn’t want some Anglophone knock-off; I wanted a revelation of the real thing. People tried to tell me that the poutine at La Banquise. Something similar to what I ordered. Unfortunately my camera died the same day I ate at La Banquise . . . That’s when I realized that Glendon is like poutine. You have to try. Posted by Esther Phua.

moral of the story: December 2011
http://estherglbloggers.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Glendon and I go together like pb and j. Monday, December 26, 2011. Lessons Learned Part 3: look forward. Figuring out who you are is hard work. I've always thought that I would "arrive" at some point. Where? At adulthood. At happiness. At completeness. It has turned out that life is less about waiting for any of these things, and more about fighting for them in the present. Pondering the worst parts of my character and my past. Hope you're having a swell. Posted by Esther Phua. Monday, December 19, 2011.
