Random and infrequent thoughts. Monday, November 25, 2013. Yesterday, Sunday, was one of the recurring "continuing hikes" on the towpath. It was in the area beyond Hancock, MD called Cohill Station- that was a station on the now defunct Western Maryland Railway. It was also very very cold. It blew in gusts, unexpectedly. September 23, Monday - - Of course the hotel was comfortable and I awoke refreshed, had a good breakfast, and took a short walk along the river and part of the town of Cahors. The new railway bridge at Cahors. And the older bridge - I don't know how old. Cahors is on the Pilgrim Route, and this brass scallop embedded in the sidewalk tells the walkers they're not lost. Wonderfully casual for dining al fresc.
