Images of Montevideo and Uruguay. A few images of the city where I live and other places in my little country. Sunday, January 25, 2015. Vacations have come and gone. This year I went to Piriapolis area for a few days. Not really my best year there. Weather did not cooperate much. This storm alone was worth about 45mm of rain. In the harbor, my favorite place, the authorities had decided to remodel the fishing dock in the harbor - my dearest subject had a forced break this year. Publicado por Julio F.

I have been again in that fishing dock in Buceo harbor, testing old cameras. Overcast weather, as it must be in our so-called winter. In the nearby Yacht Club, rows of nice boats wait for the opportunity to sail. The boats are tightly moored with old rubber, stretching lazily with the wind load. Technical: Exakta (Isco-Westron), Canonet QL17, well-expired FP4 in Beutler.

Interesting work, sure enough, but I wondered how the results from several hundred of dollars worth of software would compare with making a regular pinhole camera for a couple of bucks. It’s a diverse group of people, made up of sculptors, academics, museum specialists, collectors and so on, and about 50 members had come up for the weekend.
