http://kinderkorner5.blogspot.com/2015/06/thankful-for-it-thursday-weekly-link-up.html
Thursday, June 11, 2015. Thankful for it Thursday: a weekly link up. I am so excited to be hosting this link up! I have to tell you- last summer I started recording a daily account of what I was thankful for, basically a gratitude journal, and it is amazing the joy that opening your eyes to the blessings around you can bring! I firmly believe that you are the creator of your own joy. Go find it, own it, live it! What made you smile? Family, friends, an event, a student, productivity, nature? This is huge...

Kinder Korner: March 2015
http://kinderkorner5.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 23, 2015. Last week we celebrated St. Patty's Day. On our reading groups we discovered just how fun "sticky hands" can be. Here we are using them, as I would say, "find the word " in your books. Then, we focused on sight word shamrocks mixed in with some St. Patrick's Day words. In one group, the book they were reading focused on opposites, so we made opposite pairs:. Meanwhile, some other kids in a center were working on Shamrock digraphs. Here are some of the pictures:. We also have been ...

Saturday, January 17, 2015. Five for Friday 1/16. I am linky up for a Five for Friday with Doodlebugs Teaching. This week we are building and building our writing skills by using our sight words to help us make sentences. 3rd Quarter always seems to be when our writing begins to flourish. Anyway, here's my 5 for Friday. We read "The Mitten" by Jan Brett and did an art project with it. A simple project that worked on writing and constructing a sentence as well as story recall. I am good at (bottom). Lastl...

Collaboration Connection: How do you Calendar?
http://thecollaborationconnection.blogspot.com/2014/09/how-do-you-calendar.html
Saturday, September 20, 2014. How do you Calendar? I guess I can be considered a veteran teacher at this point in my career—16 years—however, I don’t really like that word. Yes, some years have been harder than others, difficult students, changing standards, but that comes with the territory right? I’m going to be completely honest with you. My Calendar Bulletin Board has always been my bane, my weakness—. What day is it? There wa...

Collaboration Connection: Things I've Learned
http://thecollaborationconnection.blogspot.com/2014/09/things-ive-learned.html
Monday, September 8, 2014. Another week begins, and I'm really excited! Today marks the 5th week of school, and my classroom is starting to run like a well oiled machine. I'm so proud of my kiddos! Today I wanted to share some things that have been working, and some things I have changed from previous years. Hopefully it will give you a glimpse into my classroom. I still love the award/brag tags, but this way they aren't getting lost (and they take up less room on the wall). Behavior, Helpers, and Rules.
