A rest is as good as a change: March 2006
http://arestisasgoodasachange.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
A rest is as good as a change. Wednesday, March 29, 2006. So, yesterday I went for a stroll up Mont Royal (a hill in the middle of the city, which apparently gave Montreal its name). Most other people were out jogging or walking dogs, apart from this guy. Sure There's still snow on the ground - but not that. Posted by Sarah at 5:40 pm. Tuesday, March 28, 2006. One step forward, two steps back. If you're interested in that sort of thing. A ridiculously large hotel room, yesterday. Friday, March 24, 2006.

Posted by Sarah at 3:38 pm. Life can be cruel. Just over one week to go until the fun stops and real life kicks in. This time next week I'll be experiencing that Sunday afternoon feeling again. Can't say I've missed it. Posted by Sarah at 1:28 pm. Sunday, December 24, 2006. Sarah Claus is coming to town. Stevenage to be precise!

A rest is as good as a change: September 2006

A rest is as good as a change. Friday, September 29, 2006. Haunting notes, pizzicato strings. I've just seen the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Perform at the Sydney Opera House! Ok - I was sitting on the steps outside, with 5,000 other cheapskates - but the setting couldn't be faulted and we had a special 'impromptu' performance from a few members of the orchestra and the conductor, Valery Gergiev. A very good day indeed. Posted by Sarah at 3:17 pm. Thursday, September 28, 2006. I like Manly - it's got ...

A rest is as good as a change. Sunday, October 29, 2006. Six nights in Hong Kong. It's a Buddha, and it's big. I've had a busy start to the Asian half of my trip. I'm staying with a good friend, Helen, who has been living here for 18 months and another good friend, Sue has flown out from the UK to join us. Sue and I will be spending 10 days in China from Tuesday and, after another week in Hong Kong, Helen and I will be off to Vietnam. It's a new development consisting of restaurants, tea shops, a couple ...

A rest is as good as a change: June 2006
http://arestisasgoodasachange.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
A rest is as good as a change. Friday, June 30, 2006. I've been to Cologne. No - I haven't been there for nearly two months - just the 4 days. But, as Nick has very kindly written up his account of our mini World Cup experience, I thought I'd provide links here. Surprisingly, I still had that grin on my face at the end of the match - despite the best (or worst) efforts of the players to remove it. Posted by Sarah at 11:27 am. Nottingham, United Kingdom. A rest is as good as a change: February 2006
http://arestisasgoodasachange.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
A rest is as good as a change. Tuesday, February 21, 2006. Floating from travel sickness because I ve spent the best part of a day on a coach. Floating because I still haven t managed to eat a proper meal for nearly 4 days. Floating because my accommodation tonight looks like this:. The Catamaran Island Hotel. No challenging steps this time - but some of the largest stelae in the Mayan world (and a lot of sun and biting insects). I m playing on the internet in our hotel while my fellow travellers have so...

A rest is as good as a change: May 2006

A rest is as good as a change. Wednesday, May 10, 2006. Ok, perhaps 2 weeks of inactivity is a little long without some sort of explanation. Although I haven’t been here constantly for the past fortnight, it would probably appear to the casual observer at least that I have no excuse not to spend at least a little of my time writing about some of my adventures. The bedside table is probably the least embarrassing example of what I've got to sort through. Posted by Sarah at 4:27 pm. View my complete profile.

A rest is as good as a change. Wednesday, November 29, 2006. I'm in Thailand - Samui to be precise. I've decided to end my trip to Asia (give or take a couple of extra days in Hong Kong next week) with a week in one place. No need to pack and unpack the bags more than once and nothing more strenuous to do than pick up a book or a pen and reflect on a fantastic year. While I get my thoughts together - here are a few snaps from Vietnam:. Posted by Sarah at 1:59 am. Wednesday, November 22, 2006. We're leavi...

A rest is as good as a change: April 2006

A rest is as good as a change. Monday, April 24, 2006. It’s more than a week since I confirmed that the large furry creatures hadn’t got me and I now find myself needing to pass on reassurances once again. This time all limbs are (just about) intact following my trip to Sun Peaks, and only my camera sustained any injuries whilst gallivanting in the snow atop Grouse Mountain. Sun Peaks dons sunglasses to cope with the stranger in town. For the time-being anyway. The aptly named Sunset Beach. From the mome...
