Tuesday, January 6, 2009. Misty and I have finally found a church we both dig. It's called Community of Hope, a division of the United Methodist strand. We have started reading a book called "One Month to Live - Thirty Days to a No-regrets Life". That the pastor is focusing on for the month. The book walks you through how you take on your current days and current situations. It's a really good read so far. You take on a chapter each day during the month January.

Thursday, December 3, 2009. I was just making my usual rounds 'round the ole internet and read a post by Mike McClure that made me chuckle out loud. Good schtuff! His post was intitled Buffy Bufferton. Put a smile on my face. I have come to the conclusion. That 2 weeks straight of riding. Across country in a van, inclined. And watching movies on a laptop,. Has led to the atrophy of my muscles. So two days ago I joined. I can barely move. I can't bend over. So this must be progress. To go to the bathroom.

Friday, January 8, 2010. Speaking as a fat man that loves cool air caressing my spectacular body, this past week has been re-cock-ulous! This morning I let the truck idle nearly 15 minutes before it became inhabitable to drive to work. I think back to my childhood years and never remember a cold that was this cold. The news spouted the coldest weather in 10 years in Dallas. I guess 10 years ago, I was on a tube floating down the San Marcos river. Trolling for Lesser Results. There is no Plan B.

From this day forward. Monday, December 21, 2009. 18 Month Well Check. Weight: 24.25 lbs. Singing: She's gone from "a-b-c-d" to "a-b-c-d-e-f-g-mum-mum-mum-p" to singing nearly the whole alphabet! She's still a little shaky with t-u-v and y-z. For some reason she often skips them. At the end she says "Now now now now abc's, next time sing with me" :) She also really, really likes "The Wheels on the Bus," and on her alphabet cd the songs for the letter I and the letter N are the bomb! 18 Month Well Check.
