Getting Lei'd In Hawai'i: A Hawaiian Christmas
http://kahalelehua.blogspot.com/2012/12/a-hawaiian-christmas.html
Getting Lei'd In Hawai'i. Tuesday, December 25, 2012. Merry Christmas, my lovelies! Ah, what a glorious Christmas it has been, though completely non-traditional from anything I'm used to. I found that basking in the magic of Christmas and creating new traditions without the presence of little ones (yet) is actually quite difficult. I made a decision this year, however, to enjoy the fruit of this holiday as if I were a child. I figured it might be fun. When I woke up, only a few crumbs remained. My father...

Getting Lei'd In Hawai'i: December 2012
http://kahalelehua.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Getting Lei'd In Hawai'i. Saturday, December 29, 2012. The trail was a 1-mile paved, uphill pathway with several magnificent look outs. My cardiovascular health and stamina is nearly non-existent, so I took the opportunity to catch my breath each time we stopped to snap a picture. Though we're sitting below a layer of vog created by the volcano on the Big Island, the haze seemed to amplify the radiance of the sunset and moon rise. Just before we expected the moon to peek up from the horizon, a helicopter...

Getting Lei'd In Hawai'i: September 2010
http://kahalelehua.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Getting Lei'd In Hawai'i. Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Finally. Mr. and Mrs. Kahalelehua. My sweet father surprised me mere moments before walking down the aisle with one of the most selfless gifts imaginable:. As we stood in the doorway waiting for the music to begin, daddy on my right arm and my beautiful bouquet of white stargazer lilies in the other, my step-father stepped up from behind us and took my left arm. Daddy smiled at me and said, "He's just as much your father as I am.". Add one can of fro...

Getting Lei'd In Hawai'i. Friday, December 17, 2010. 1,095 Days of Magic. On this day, exactly three years ago, I had no comprehension of how fantastically my world would be changed by the tiniest 6 pound bundle. I proudly offer 1,095 exciting days of Olivia Marie Sattler. Happy birthday, sweetheart. Titi loves you. Links to this post. Sunday, December 12, 2010. The weekend is over, and in true Kahalelehua fashion, we really didn't get much done. And now here we lay. Getting Lei'd In Hawai'i: Guppies Wanted!
http://kahalelehua.blogspot.com/2012/12/guppies-wanted.html
Getting Lei'd In Hawai'i. Monday, December 17, 2012. More than a year has passed since I last laid words in this special place. When they say “time flies,” they really mean it. In the 16 months since I posted, a lot has happened! We met with an architect who is now drawing up the plans for our new house on the hill. We celebrated our second wedding anniversary by spending a weekend away in a beautiful beach house. For several months now, I’ve been working with a well known, highly recommended ferti...

Getting Lei'd In Hawai'i: Our Family Tradition
http://kahalelehua.blogspot.com/2010/12/family-tradition.html
Getting Lei'd In Hawai'i. Friday, December 10, 2010. Life feels so busy at times that finding an open window to sit down and put my thoughts into text seem few and far between. And when I do have the time, I can't seem to come up with anything interesting to say. That said, I will to my best to peek in more often not only to clue you in as to the new happenings in the Kahalelehua house, but to also check out what you've been up to. We're thrilled to host my family's traditional Christmas Eve get together...

Getting Lei'd In Hawai'i: A Hidden Gem
http://kahalelehua.blogspot.com/2013/01/a-hidden-gem.html
Getting Lei'd In Hawai'i. Saturday, January 19, 2013. The first post of 2013! Happy belated New Year, all! I commenced 2013 with grand feelings of inspiration and renewal. The calendar's turn over has a way of making me feel purified and cleansed - ready to awaken the creative, dedicated beast that lay just beneath my flesh. There's something about the changing of years that makes me want to move! Bleh - a centipede. Look closely. a HUGE beehive hidden among the tree trunks. We got to the top of the ridg...

Getting Lei'd In Hawai'i: May 2011
http://kahalelehua.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Getting Lei'd In Hawai'i. Sunday, May 8, 2011. And Away We Go. It's been interesting thus far. uprooting all that we've known as life together and move it all to a place I've only ever visited. It's been eight days since I put my new husband on a plane to begin the process of moving us in to our home on the other side of the big pond. I stayed here to finish the 120 day "quarantine" process for our sweet Bailey and Behr. Maybe I'm just tougher than I thought. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Getting Lei'd In Hawai'i: July 2010
http://kahalelehua.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Getting Lei'd In Hawai'i. Monday, July 26, 2010. It reminds me that I will experience my last fall, winter and spring for several (or many) years to come. As much as I hate the bitter cold winters and sizzling summers of Sacramento, I will miss being a part of the seasons. Links to this post. Sunday, July 18, 2010. Snug as a Bug. That was 14 months ago. And though my dress today fits quite a bit better than it did the day I ordered it, it's still, quite simply, too small. What I would learn after purchas...
