I've been fairly happy with some of the new features that IE8 has brought with it (more CSS support, more correct HTML rendering). I've also been very unhappy with a slew of new issues as well (Lookahead downloader issues, like this. Along with various other random issues). But the last few posts on the IE Blog. Monday, October 19, 2009. IE8 Image is undefined part 2. In response to my last post. About IE8 having issues with pop-up windows where the 'Image' object is undefined I was able find another fix for this issue. While I was searching for information on this topic I stumbled across this. Entry on Microsofts forums. The fourth comment down, by the user 'Fattymelt', stated that he was able to resolve the issue by simply removing the call to 'focus' of the pop-up. Var pop = window.open(.);. Links to this post.

Friday, October 02, 2009. Taskbar At The Top Is Naughty. It would consistently open the dev tools under the task bar if IE was loaded to a full screen. They give me something to do when I'm bored. So, what was the issue? You might want to try WinKey Left, Right, Top and Down (when the window maximized and normal), youll get nice surprises :). You can also Shift Right Click on the taskbar icon for the window you want to use the old Move command for and it will bring up the old context menu.

Friday, October 02, 2009. Windows 7, .NET and IPv6. I'm still recovering from my recent Windows VM death at work and still learning the ropes with Windows 7. I stumbled across another one of those 'uggghh' moments today. After a quick look it was due to local connections to IIS defaulting to an IPv6 address, no 'localhost'. My 2003 server VM went out the other day at work so I figured I try out the new Windows 7 that I've been hearing so much goodness about. I found this 'feature' according to MS. That is quite frankly, stupid. I guess you can set .sln files to always load with VS2008, or whatever, and that fixes it. But it's just kinda ugly. Sunday, February 25, 2007. So Justin and I watched The Prestige last night! I really enjoyed it! Justin thought it was just okay. I really enjoyed the ending and all of the twists to it. There are things while you are watching the movie that end up tying into the ending and make it all fall into place. Overall I thought it was a good movie! Worth buying for sure :). Twilight and New Moon. So in the last couple of weeks I have read two books! I enjoyed it though and the ending for it was very suspensful!

By the time you get to the third you have two pictures from their whole first year! The first litter of puppies I took pictures of everyday! Sometimes more than once a day!
