Known as “the home of the throwed rolls.” Yes, if you want a roll you have to catch it when it is thrown to you from one of the waitstaff. There was enough food on each plate for at least two meals and both boys enjoyed catching rolls. This was the first real meal we had eaten since leaving our house. Tucson, AZ – Tombstone and Saguaro National Park. After leaving Alamogordo, NM we headed to AZ and the Tucson area. We stayed in a campground in St. David for about a week. It is another campground part of our membership. About an hour from Tucson but for $10/night I don’t mind driving a little. We only took one day and went into Tucson. We went swimming and biking, climbed mountains, stayed up late talking, built forts, played capture the flag, played cards, went rock climbing, went for a boat ride, and got introduced to geocaching.
