Karen's Sketchbook: Great New Drawing tools
http://karensketchbook.blogspot.com/2012/02/i-have-been-using-new-app-for-my-ipad.html
Saturday, February 25, 2012. Great New Drawing tools. I have been using a new app for my iPad called Art Set. And a new stylus. I was reading a blog the other day and discovered a new stylus called Cosmonaut. It is wonderful for drawing, and works lovely with the app Art Set. The wide-based stylus feels just like a marker. The Art Set app. Has all the mediums you might find in a conventional art set, even blending tools including my favorite blender a tissue. A nice cup of coffee or tea. Visit my web site.

Karen's Sketchbook: Old Fashioned Gift Tags and Wooly ones too.
http://karensketchbook.blogspot.com/2012/12/old-fashioned-gift-tags-and-wooly-ones.html
Thursday, December 6, 2012. Old Fashioned Gift Tags and Wooly ones too. This Christmas I have been having so much fun creating tags. First I designed them using some fabric designs on Spoonflower Fabrics. I printed them on Linen Canvas and created Wooly tags. I cut each tag out individually and cut them with pinking sheers. Then I adhered them to a bit of wool. That's why I called them wooly tags. So much fun. Stop by my main blog this month. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Dick Blick Art Supplies.

A SCRAPBOOK OF INSPIRATION: Painting Picket Fences and Summer Gardens
http://karenharveycox.blogspot.com/2015/07/painting-picket-fences-and-summer.html
Wednesday, July 08, 2015. Painting Picket Fences and Summer Gardens. I hope that you are enjoying your summer. Our weather here in Massachusetts has been very pleasant. July has been wonderful so far. My Grandson's loved the parade, and Brayden, or should I say Mario, enjoyed it most of all. Our family enjoyed an old fashioned 4th of July, shared with my friend Joyce and her family. We watched a parade with the kids and then back to Joyce's for a cookout. I just ordered one from her Etsy shop. I have swi...

A SCRAPBOOK OF INSPIRATION: A Dragonfly, A Rainy Day and A Stack of Books
http://karenharveycox.blogspot.com/2013/06/a-dragonfly-rainy-day-and-stack-of-books.html
Monday, June 17, 2013. A Dragonfly, A Rainy Day and A Stack of Books. It's funny how a rainy day makes everything look different. It makes everything a little more cozy, don't you think. I had a visit inside today from a dragonfly. She must have wanted to escape the storm. I love listening to romantic music on rainy days. I also love to walk around the house admiring the tiny things. Matchbox with a few teeny books and magazines peeking out. This stack of books is a stack of my favorites right now. I am ...

Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Gardens, Farmer's Market and Memorizing the magic. I can't help myself, I have been memorizing so many gardens here, and I brought Ned along to share the beautiful flowers. The roses are in full bloom at Reynolda Gardens. I missed the Spring blossoms, but I was able to see the rose gardens. There is so much history surrounding Reynolda Gardens. I plan on visiting Reynolda House. This week. It's on the same property as the gardens shown here. Nesting in North Carolina. The gardens t...

A SCRAPBOOK OF INSPIRATION: Daphne's Diary
http://karenharveycox.blogspot.com/2014/01/daphines-diary.html
Tuesday, January 07, 2014. Only four more days until moving day and I am counting the hours. This apartment has certainly had it's issues, and I am so happy that we found a little house to rent. I have been finding wonderful things while I am nesting in North Carolina. I have always loved James Taylor, but I especially love the way he sings more recently, like this version of his song Carolina In My Mind. That is where I found this wonderful new magazine from the UK called Daphne's Diary. Oh, thank you D...

A SCRAPBOOK OF INSPIRATION: A Walk Through Duke Gardens
http://karenharveycox.blogspot.com/2014/06/a-walk-through-duke-gardens.html
Sunday, June 29, 2014. A Walk Through Duke Gardens. We visited Raleigh, North Carolina yesterday and took a walk through Sarah P. Duke Gardens. As I walked through this beautiful place, I wondered how many people had shared this setting to say I love you. The gardens were spectacular. I stand corrected, I thought test were in the Lilac family, like back home, but they are Crape Myrtles. Oh, and did I tell you that I have seen purple lilacs, white lilacs and shocking pink ones too.
