I have almost exactly 2 months left (not sure yet on the exact date I’m flying back), and I’ve been thinking a lot about my year and am mourning the fact that I’ll be leaving Germany so soon! However, I have some really great friends back home who I am so excited to see, which makes it so much better. Time in Cambodia
During 2008-2009 I spent about a year in Cambodia teaching English to University students. Sunday, July 19, 2009. Back in the US. Traveling through Bangkok was exciting and the trip back to the States was smooth, though very long. This week will be fairly busy and then I'll head home and be very busy as I join the preparations for Tom's (my younger brother) wedding on August 1! Wednesday, July 8, 2009. October 17, 2012 · 9:19 pm. It’s been about 3 months since I left Germany, although it simultaneously feels like 2 weeks and and a year. I gave up the idea of making a final blog post long ago, but I recently had a change a heart and decided that maybe a little closure on my year abroad would be best. Reunited and it felt so good*. My host family definitely bonded with my parents. We stayed with my mom’s childhood friend who now lives in Zürich, which was such a treat. My sister and dad enjoying the view.
