Visie, Missie, Doelstellingen. Karuna Nepal omgevormd tot noodhulporganisatie. Na de aardbeving in Nepal nam Karuna een besluit: Meteen in actie komen. Het landenkantoor van Karuna Nepal in Kathmandu werd binnen 24 uur omgevormd tot een tijdelijke lean en mean noodhulporganisatie. En wat is er gewerkt! En uiteraard in coördinatie en samenwerking met andere organisaties. In Ilam en Sunsari gaan onze Inspire2Care werkzaamheden inmiddels gewoon op volle kracht door. Tnv Stichting Karuna te Arnhem.

Visie, Missie, Doelstellingen. Het eerste projectland van Karuna is Nepal, een mooi, maar arm land. Nepal ligt tussen India in het zuiden en Tibet (China) in het noorden, en voor een groot deel in het Himalaya gebergte. 40% leeft onder de armoedegrens. Slecht toegankelijk door hoge bergen, geen of slechte wegen, zwakke implementatie van beleid en veelvoorkomende sociale onrust. De moeder- en kindsterfte is hoog, als ook het percentage kinderen met een handicap. In het hoge Himalaya gebergte.
