Kate at the Ranch: Finally Building Something
http://kateattheranch.blogspot.com/2013/08/finally-building-something.html
Kate at the Ranch. I spent part of my summer working at the Izee Ranch in Oregon. Come read all about it! Tuesday, August 20, 2013. But, my team was assigned ONE lone task to build. I was so excited to be able to use the skills I had from previous years to finally do something I was already good at. We were asked to build a shed from the ground up. From a distance it's looking good! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Life at the Ranch. Not Just About the Overalls. Lets Take a Trip.

Kate at the Ranch. I spent part of my summer working at the Izee Ranch in Oregon. Come read all about it! Saturday, August 17, 2013. Demolition was a huge part of my work experience at the IZ ranch this year, but it was not the only thing I did for two weeks! We were also asked to do a few other odd jobs. And our team worked well together - and we finished in no time! Next, my team took apart a corral! Trying to keep the Ranch this beautiful. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Life at the Ranch.
Kate at the Ranch: So Many Tractors
http://kateattheranch.blogspot.com/2013/08/so-many-tractors.html
Kate at the Ranch. I spent part of my summer working at the Izee Ranch in Oregon. Come read all about it! Wednesday, August 28, 2013. At IZ Ranch, there are so many types of vehicles we used on the job! Most of them were different types of tractors, and I got to drive them all! These included a Catepillar, Skidster, Gradall, and Back Hoe. Each one was large and powerful, so driving them was quite the task. We used the Back Hoe to demolish old buildings. The team took turns using the Back Hoe to pull ...
Kate at the Ranch: Those Pesky Bugs
http://kateattheranch.blogspot.com/2013/08/those-pesky-bugs.html
Kate at the Ranch. I spent part of my summer working at the Izee Ranch in Oregon. Come read all about it! Thursday, August 29, 2013. He asked us to take notes and take what he was teaching us very seriously. In previous years, we did not have the opportunity to learn about pesticides, so it was fun to learn something new! If we skipped just one hemlock plant along the way, that could kill a cow later down the road and the ranch could lose profit. Pressure! Ready to go spray along the creek!

Kate Eats Kale
What’s Cookin’? It’s summer and that means strawberries! I have made this pie a few times already and I think it’s my favorite pie I have ever had. Its light and so fruity! I used the pie crust from my other blog post for the Delicious Pie Crust (check it out). But you could always use any other pie crust you want! 5 cups strawberries, quartered. 1/3-3/4 cup sugar (depending on how sweet you strawberries are). 1/4 cup corn starch. 1 TBS lemon juice. 9 inch pie crust. Posted in What's Cookin'? In food pro...
Kat eats local
Easy rhubarb gin and tonic. After a gorgeous morning in Prince Edward County for the Terroir Run. We decided to head back to Toronto via the country roads instead of the soul-sucking 401. One perk to this? Farmstand rhubarb (and asparagus, and eggs), which had me thinking gin and tonic as soon as I got home. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). Well, they’ve just announced they’re selling another round of shares between now and December 31:. Three levels of investment are available, starting at $200. Find out more on Monforte’s website. Is excellent fo...

Kate at the In Gate | A Young Amateur's Take on the Horse Life
Kate at the In Gate. A Young Amateur's Take on the Horse Life. Guest Post: One Rider’s Battle with Anorexia Nervosa. Although the author of this post has chosen to remain anonymous, I commend her for the incredible amount of bravery and strength it took for her to write this. Her real-life experiences with an eating disorder should be taken as a warning, but her ability to overcome her battle with anorexia proves that the love of horses is an amazing thing. May 4, 2015. Kate at Universal
Asked: Are you going to do the Disney Program? I can’t do the summer one cause I’m not at uni anymore! I tried out for the year one but didn’t get it. I’m lucky having had my Universal summer though! Asked: How did you get around, bus or taxi to get to the supermarkets and to attractions, Disney, sea world ect. To get to Universal I got the bus (I think it was the 45? With Disney especially you don’t want to waste time with buses (and even if you did it’s probably really hard to get back! I just looked i...
