Teresa Appleby: October 2011
http://teresaappleby.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 8, 2011. Today is a beautiful day in Oregon. The sun is out. It's a crisp 59 degrees. Fall. Oh how I love it! Today is also my first Saturday not working in at least 2 months. I am enjoying all aspects of what today holds. Alas, part of what I get to do today is yard work. The joys of living in a duplex and not an apartment. I have a yard! I mean, how much is there really? No one came. This was my battle to go through. He was there with me, but I needed to do some of the work my...It wa...

Teresa Appleby: July 2010
http://teresaappleby.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 16, 2010. Have you ever gone through an event, just the same as everyone else, and while they all had what seemed like a "Mountain Top Experience," you had a "Valley Experience? The more I process the recent mission trip I went on, I realize that is how I feel. I got to watch in amazement, and honestly with some jealousy, as I saw God work in the lives of our team on their "Mountain Top Experiences." Where was my mountain top? Was I doomed to go through the valley? Was I really that. I could...

Teresa Appleby: 1 Peter 1:4
http://teresaappleby.blogspot.com/2012/11/1-peter-14.html
Tuesday, November 13, 2012. 1 Peter 1:4 "to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you,". Living hope-that in and of itself would have been enough. Yet He gave us so much more! We have an inheritance that is imperishable (endures forever), undefiled (pure, having no faults, sinless), and unfading (not losing value or effectiveness). Teresa Appleby: 1 Peter 1:5
http://teresaappleby.blogspot.com/2012/11/1-peter-15.html
Wednesday, November 14, 2012. 1 Peter 1:5 " who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. ". There is beauty to be found here. We are guarded by God's power. There is nothing greater to be guarded by. This alone should bring about all the peace we could ever need, to be surrounded by His power. something we experience as we place our faith in Him. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Teresa Appleby: April 2011
http://teresaappleby.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 18, 2011. Ever gone through a tough time? Questioned why you were going through the struggle? Ready to give up and call it quits? Trying to figure out what point this could possibly have in your life? What are you supposed to be learning? There are a few things that I have been struggling with. Why would God create me with such a strong straight forward personality and yet ask me to live in a meek manner? What could He possibly be doing in our lives? Though now for a little while,. Have you...

Sunday, March 13, 2011. Lent Day 5: Faith. Today started off in Romans Ch. 5:1-5, "Therefore, since we have been justified by. We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him we have also obtained access by. Here is the Greek word:. The Gospel truth. This was exactly what I needed to hear this morning. On Friday I got the results back for a test I took to get my internship. I did not pass the test. How could I fail God like that? Or really did I feel like God failed me? Gospel truth....

Teresa Appleby: 1 Peter 1:1-2
http://teresaappleby.blogspot.com/2012/11/1-peter-11-2.html
Sunday, November 11, 2012. I realized recently that it had been quite a while since I had written anything on here. So much has transpired in the time since I last wrote something, and at the same time, it feels as though nothing has changed! Interesting how life works out like that sometimes. While there are many aspects of my journey that are different, I to write about one of them. The question becomes, am I rebelling against where I am in life? I have a choice to make. I'm choosing to embrace thi...

Saturday, June 26, 2010. As I continue on my journey to find my identity in Christ, I am reading the book A Gospel Primer by Milton Vincent. Today as I was reading there were some sections that hit me hard. In the section entitled Resting in Christ's Righteousness. Vincent writes this,. The scripture to support this is as follows:. Romans 4:5 "But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.". Vincent also wrote Obedience Borne of Love.

Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Labels. Why do we have them? What is the purpose? Is it really even necessary? I was reminded of the label that some are giving me since I have been diagnosed as bipolar II. In reality it is a small handful of people that are aware of the label and they are the only ones giving me that label. Truthfully, it hurts. I want you to really think about it. Is there one word that encompasses your entire being in every aspect of who you are? Just one word that sums it all up? May the...
