Her rules, her nagging and her helplessness and passivity drove me crazy. Years later, I realized she was not who I was most angry with: It was my father. 8221; My father can be very funny; with a sharp wit I appreciate and have inherited. The flip side of this is his destructive anger and self-pity that over the years he has succeeded only in turning inward.

Better Late Than Never. It is never too late to be what you might have been" - George Eliot. In the hospitals, doctors brought in leftover sandwiches, chips, cookies and soda from their meetings. Sometimes the food was particularly appealing from drug reps visiting the premises. The food was placed on the main table of the nurses’ station where the rest of the staff devoured it like wolves.
