Membership is a registration fee of £5.00, plus a yearly subscription, currently £10 (2010). Cheques payable to KEEP MOBILE. Membership is open to any not for profit group. You may use our group service for your regular meetings or trips for your organisation. We would welcome you having your own drivers for evening and weekend transport. Our fleet of vehicles is available for contract work. We currently undertake work for other voluntary organisations including Stroke Clubs, Arthritis Care, Polio Fellowship, Berkshire Blind, Alzheimers Association, Social Services and the Health Authority. The work can either be for transport to regular meetings or one off outings to a venue. As part of the service we can provide venue booking and quote prices which include entrance fees if required. Keep Mobile train their own drivers in house using experienced MiDAS DAT (driver assessor trainer). Training of these trainers is undertaken by the Community Transport Association. The MiDAS training programme consists of theoretical and practical work. The theory covers the different driving skills needed to drive a minibus, the legal requirements and responsibilities of drivers, and the special needs of passengers with disabilities. Membership is open to anyone living in the areas covered by either Bracknell Forest Borough Council or Wokingham Borough Councils, who is disabled (whatever age) and elderly people over the age of 70. Self-certification is all that is needed, there is normally no independent evidence required. As we are now so busy, on Day Excursions you can only order one ticket per trip required, unless the 2nd one is for a husband, wife, or carer. They will also have to pay the full amount for outings.
