Of all the profound situations I have encountered in my time in Costa Rica (By the way, I am in Costa Rica and have been for the last 2.5 weeks) I have learned first and foremost that burps in Spanish sound the same. Tuesday, February 7, 2012. The girls have loved reading for a while now, and the latest way they love to read is to climb on our bed, lie down right next to each other, and listen to the other one "read." They also love to sit on the floor against the wall and read, or they'll ask to "sit by Mommy" while I'm reading and the three of us will read together while sitting on the floor. Claire is very expressive when she reads, and often shouts words or phrases, much to Caroline's delight.

Sunday, January 25, 2009. Most of us use "to-do" lists. Some to-do lists are short term: Go to the post office, swing by HEB after the gym, feed dog.you get the picture. Other to-do lists are life long : Spend a year learning Spanish in South America, have family, get Doctorate. This to-do list falls in the 6 month to 1 year range. 3 Match all of my plastic cups and coffee mugs. I can't stand having a mishmash. Friday, October 26, 2012. Happy Halloween.a little early! This morning, we had a "Halloween dress rehearsal" as we joined some other moms and kiddos to trick or treat at a local residential home for older adults. We couldn't take pictures of the residents, but we managed to gather all the cuties for a big costume picture after we collected our candy. The girls dressed up as twin fairies this year and have been practicing "flying" around the house all week. More cheese for the camera. Happy Birthday, Paul!

Friday, December 28, 2012. We spent Christmas in Houston and stayed at Grammy's house, then spent Christmas Day at Cassie's house in Katy. The girls woke up early that morning, and made their way down the stairs to see what Santa had brought them. Decked out in their new scooter gear - Claire is ready to go with her new purse in tow! Caroline can't wait to join in on the fun! A new Memory game! Helping sissy open presents at Cassie's house. Daddy brought us a new ornament from his ski trip in Winter Park!
