The family of my second catch came for their baby check in matching t-shirts. Are they not the most adorable family ever? Just a few of us from the clinic. You think we are doing peace signs but no.We are midwives so that is definitely measuring a cervix pose. Squeeeeezing in a taxi. A restaurant overlooking the city. The cemetery down below.

Sixty Days of Service. Saturday, April 28, 2012. I will be leaving for the Philippines one month from tomorrow! The only thing I have to get through is 7 more nursing tests and a 7 pg paper in the next three weeks :( Oh, well! I am almost done and then I will be a senior! I would just like to send out a big thank you to everyone who has supported me. It is an amazing opportunity to have a nursing internship in another country but of course it costs money instead of earns money. But that's ok!

Sixty Days of Service. Friday, June 29, 2012. I have some exciting news! I caught a baby lastnight! Actually two babies in one shift! I supported the perineum with one hand and the head with the other. When the head was completely out there was nucal cord so I pulled it over the head so it was no longer wrapped around the neck. I almost got all my paper work done and patient settled in the postpartum area when I was surprised to see another labor came in. It was not the only labor! Nucal cord, baby out!

Monday, September 19, 2016. Camping with Beyond Boundaries 2016. Mississippi Palisades State Park. Adaptive rock climbing, cycling and kayaking all in a beautiful area in Illinois. Scuba Diving in Key Largo. August 21-25, 2016. Its been awhile since I've been on here, but I'll give it a try. I headed down south to dive in the warm waters of Key Largo with RIC's Caring for Kids program. It was incredible! 3 days - 6 dives: 1 turtle, several nurse sharks, lots of fish and coral, Dory! And so many bubbles.
