Monday, October 13, 2008. A box of cold cereal with a breast cancer ribbon prominently displayed, a small box of pink tic tacs. For my purse, I'm beginning to think that there is not a product on the market that hasn't committed a donation to the Susan Komen. If I take one of my children in the store! I seem to handle loosing a card game okay, but I'm not so hot at handling the loss of faith in my body to do what it should! How do I express my joy at living and my frustration with lingering fatigue?

Tuesday, October 30, 2007. Good News Bad News. Should have known I was getting off too easy- because that just usually doesn't happen to me. So today the reality stick hit in the form of my pathology report from the mastectomies. GOOD news is that NO CANCER. Was found in any of the Sentinel Lymph nodes (4 were biopsied) - that means I have a 98% chance that the cancer has not spread anywhere else in the body. Bad news. At the family reunion in June- is it family portrait time? Sunday, October 28, 2007.

Monday, October 13, 2008. Remember that movie where the doctor became the patient and realized he hadn't been as compassionate as he'd always thought himself to be? Disco Bras and such. Getting the kids off to school and trying to at least clean up the breakfast dishes before it was time to jump in the car and head off to the radiation lab. Thursday, April 10, 2008. April Fools Day was really a day for celebration! So the rumor is true- I'm done with Chemotherapy! I have a graduation certificate and warm lap quilt (thanks to the "Sisters of the Lone Peak Stake") to prove it.and the nurses sang me a graduation song (to the tune of Happy B-Day). It went something like this: Congratulations to you, your chemotherapy is through, We wish you good health, and Happiness too! I hugged them all and said "Thanks, I hope to never see you here again!

Earthquakes and hurricanes and doom, oh my! Let's hope once this thing blows over (ha! It's been a slightly surreal day. Apparently all the stores are out of everything. Fortunately, we had a lesson in church last month about hurricane preparedness (all the churches in the east were given the same fifth Sunday lesson- talk about inspired! And so I am prepared with water and Cliff bars and lots of books (well, okay, I didn't actually PREPARE books, but that is how I intend to spend the weekend).

Sunday in the Park. My cute friend made this and I thought I should share (since I'm unlikely to make anything like this myself). April was a pretty busy month. Lots of visitors too, though I wasn't very good about taking pictures with most of them. I'm a lot better when I go someplace. Except that I rarely take photos in Boston. (I know, to mom's chagrin.) Did go to Nashville though! And at the end of this month I'm going to Jo-shwa's graduation. Never been to Florida, so that should be fun!
