Saturday, September 20, 2014. 9/20/2014–An Exciting Day Trip. As it went by us, it raised up to miss the power lines and then eventually landed in the road about a half mile south of where we were parked. We could see that it was finally able to pull off the road into an area that had recently been cleared off. We called in a report to 9-1-1 and drove back to the scene. 160; Actually, after seeing the results of this, I wouldn’t hesitate to fly in a plane with this pilot. Another police officer arrives.

http://tiltonstravels.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 28, 2013. Another Week in Cheyenne. I don’t really have much to report for the last week although we seem to have kept ourselves busy somehow. Last Friday, I took Bailie into the driver’s licensing office to get her license. We had a long wait, but she was successful! Saturday, Butch and family packed up their recycling items and took them in that afternoon. Ken, Bailie, Butch, and Eric behind Butch. Eric even has his own hardhat for working with his dad. It’s Martini Time. After leaving t...

A helicopter overhead was usually an indication of a race leader approaching. This car was awarded a 2nd place finish. We met the parents of Pistol Pete at the Elks lodge dinner Friday night.

Sunday, July 21, 2013. 7/16/2013–Day Trip to Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park. On Tuesday, July 16th we drove north into Yellowstone National Park on a day trip headed to the northeast entrance of the park. We were lucky to see a grizzly sow and last year’s cub along the way. These two young ones seem to be putting their heads together to see what they could get into. We stopped along the river to watch a bison make it across. We saw a few of these old tour buses. Bison Rolling in the Dirt.

http://tiltonstravels.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 28, 2013. We spent the day Wednesday just hanging out at the house. Ken is still hobbling around on crutches due to his right knee hurting. He tried to get into the doctor but they couldn’t accommodate him until Thursday. So Thursday will be busy with Ken’s doctor and my lung doctor in the afternoon. Other than that, it was a pretty quiet day. Tuesday, March 26, 2013. 3/26/13–A Day Trip to Tucson. Pichacho Peak is a very recognizable sight on the route to Tucson. Friday, March 8, 2013.

It’s just a small dot above the hillside, but this small flying machine was apparently out checking out the race course. Sue is looking pretty darned relaxed! And Jerry looks serious…. 1/29/2013–Laughlin, NV to Parker, AZ. In this photo, we can see some RV’s parked up on the hillside called The Steps. We campe...There is usu...

Friday, August 29, 2014. 8/29/2014–Day Trip to Holbrook, AZ. We drove up to Holbrook for the day to look into local tourist information and check out the Elks lodge. We were greeted in Holbrook by the local dinosaurs. We drove to one end of town and found a local shop where the owner modifies Volkswagons. This one is a working RV. His latest project seems to be a low rider VW van. It looks like Ken would have a difficult time fitting into this car. Another one of the shop owner’s project cars. Gypsy Jour...

Tuesday, January 21, 2014. 1/21/2014–Arizona City to Quartzsite, AZ. We left Arizona City around 10am this morning and drove to join the thousands of boondockers in Quartzsite, Arizona. Along the way we passed a large prison facility between Gila Bend and Buckeye. A view of some distant hills as we head toward Quartzsite. As we got nearer to our exit in Quartzsite, we started seeing the many RV’s parked near the frontage road. We have no special plans for Wednesday so we’ll see what happens. We are in ou...
