Derbyshire Days: Fund raising
http://jane-derbyshiredays.blogspot.com/2011/08/fund-raising.html
Monday, 1 August 2011. Just a quick blog. Yesterday I spent a sunny 4 hours selling my excess plants to raise funds for the Stroke Association helped by my Mum and my sister. Plants on offer included Thyme, Basil, Lavender, Sunflowers, Asters, Echinacea, Spearmint, Zinnias, Spider plants, Sage, Verbascum. So far I have raised £34! More than I expected. I'm thinking of having another go soon but need to spread the word more first as this weekend was a last minute decision in the end. Hi chicken lover Jane.

Derbyshire Days: December 2010
http://jane-derbyshiredays.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 28 December 2010. Twixt Christmas and New Year. Well someone was happy over Christmas as you can see, Percy was full of energy especially Christmas Day when my Mum and sister visited along with her collie Brae. Percy was put in his place on many an occasion! It was a chaotic household with 7 adults and 3 dogs but we all managed to squeeze round the table once the dogs were sorted and tucked in to some lovely food - including my home made pate (thanks Lesley for your recipe). Back on the blog.

Derbyshire Days: May 2011
http://jane-derbyshiredays.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Monday, 30 May 2011. Devon trip and back home. Swans with cygnets on the canal. Sampford Peverell with canal boat. View of Slapton Sands looking north towards Dartmouth. We moved onto South Devon and stayed near Slapton Sands. This part of the coastline was a first for us and it really is beautiful. The roads are narrow and twisty but all the better as it slows you down and allows you to take in the scenery. The fillings included cabbage, carrot, spinach as well as meat. Tallinn pics - part 2. There was ...

Derbyshire Days: April 2011
http://jane-derbyshiredays.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, 9 April 2011. Just a few pics of a garden theme. One is the view from our bedroom window - as you can see we are downstairs so we look directly out onto the back garden and are woken by the birdsong in the morning. Under the apple trees lots of plants are appearing - self seeded honesty which has lovely seed pods after the flowers have gone over, lots of narcissi and polyanthus. Saturday, 2 April 2011. Derbyshire Days: Where does time go to?
http://jane-derbyshiredays.blogspot.com/2011/10/where-does-time-go-to_23.html
Sunday, 23 October 2011. Where does time go to? I've just realised I have not posted on my blog since August! This is mainly due to a change in work place, September holidays and just too many senior moments just lately! One big treat in store this week will be the arrival of my 'new' car! I have decided not to take on another work lease car and have found a VW beetle with a soft top - ok so it may be my mid life crisis . Have a good week everyone. 23 October 2011 at 12:03. Finally, youre back! She is ve...

Sunday, 28 December 2014. Well it's been 2 years without a blog! Hi all, I'm back! Not really sure why I ceased blogging? Could have been one of several reasons but life moves on as they say. Jane. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I have always lived in the heart of Derbyshire in the Amber Valley area with my family and animals. We have a large garden which I use for relaxing, growing vegs and for my hens. Through this blog I would like to share my ways of switching off from a busy work life.

Derbyshire Days: Toothache!
http://jane-derbyshiredays.blogspot.com/2012/04/toothache.html
Friday, 20 April 2012. I can out up with most pains but this defeats me. I've been tolerating it for 24 hrs now and have accepted that it is not going to go away on it's own so hopefully the dentists receptionist will pick up my 6 am pleading message for an appointment. Dentists are not my favourite folk. Being a health professional I always struggle to understand why you would choose to forage around in peoples mouths. 24 April 2012 at 14:35. Are you feeling a bit better sweetie? 28 April 2012 at 13:30.
