Presentations & Workshops. Get Posts by E-mail. Every Handout From NCTM. April 26th, 2015 by Dan Meyer. Some people on Twitter were grousing about the inconvenience of clicking every single session link in the NCTM directory. To find out if the speakers uploaded handouts. NCTM also mentioned that the handouts would only be available for about a month. For both of those reasons, I wrote a script to crawl all 814 talks and yank out the 208 with file uploads. So here’s that directory. Giant ball of handouts.

High School Math Teacher. Foldable – Graphing Inequalities and Solving Systems of Inequalities. Treading water…barely →. April 11, 2015. My 8th graders really got factoring this year! Because of all of the time lost due to snow days, I was attempting to compact the curriculum, and decided to teach factoring and solving quadratics at the same time (instead of factoring first, and then solving afterwards). We also used Desmos. We started with the x-puzzles. That @jreulbach talks about in this post. Next, I...

EPSILON-DELTA: A New Chapter
http://www.epsilon-delta.org/2012/07/new-chapter.html
Tuesday, July 17, 2012. I know there are a few things I'm giving up by taking a break from the college scene (there's a reason I went straight for a Master's in math), but there's so much I'm looking forward to. What I can't wait for. Quadruple the amount of time spent with students. The ability to cover material more thoroughly. College classes go by so fast. I'm excited to be able to take my time and, hopefully, not feel as rushed. Concerts, games, talent shows, etc. Not having to teach until 9 AM.
