Burning the Incense at Both Ends. Musings on Spirituality in the Material World. Trevor V. Stockinger. Quality of Time →. November 10, 2014. Trevor V. Stockinger. Om Tara Tuttare Ture Soha. If the entire world is sacred, there is nothing to fear. We are already living as we should be. We can lighten up and sense the immediacy that does not need to be meddled with. Because of that immediate perfection, we can relax and open up. This is the meaning of blessing and being blessed. Quality of Time →. Live to ...

Dorji Wangchuk: Happiness is a place in your heart
http://dorjiwangchuk.blogspot.com/2014/08/happiness-is-place-in-your-heart.html
My life My work My country Bhutan. Friday, August 1, 2014. Happiness is a place in your heart. I think I have inherited some of his genes although he was not my biological grandfather. I have perfected the art of being content wherever I am - whether it is in Thimphu, Kanglung or San Francisco. In other words, wherever I am, chances are you would find me happily chatting away and, of course, very content - minus the Ara, obviously. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Dorji Wangchuk: January 2014
http://dorjiwangchuk.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
My life My work My country Bhutan. Wednesday, January 1, 2014. Sleeping past the New Year Eve. I slept on the New Year eve. For two reasons:. First, I felt sleepy and regretted a bar-hopping invitation from a friend (it’s more than a year since I totally quit drinking anyway). Dremetse, October 2009 - Sleeping in a earthquake-damaged. Classroom during the Royal Tour. But whatever has happened and whatever will happen, one thing is for sure – life will go on. Welcome to 2014, on that note. Ap Chencho - th...

Dorji Wangchuk: America, here I come
http://dorjiwangchuk.blogspot.com/2014/07/d-elhi-igi-airport-passport-visa.html
My life My work My country Bhutan. Friday, July 4, 2014. America, here I come. Elhi, IGI Airport - Passport, visa, boarding pass, travel insurance and some cash in USD (in case BoB credit cards are blocked by the RMA. Actually they would for sure). And for the first time in my life, I am travelling light. Strictly within the limits of the airlines. 20kg of checked in luggage a laptop bag. And Berkeley is not Sherubtse or ILCS in that questions come like rapid fire. So one really got to prepare. A broadca...

Dorji Wangchuk: My first day in America
http://dorjiwangchuk.blogspot.com/2014/07/welcome-to-america.html
My life My work My country Bhutan. Sunday, July 6, 2014. My first day in America. I used the trick from the book Around the World in Eighty Days. I took the East route, which was also little shorter in times of flying time. Then to end the day in style, we watch the beautiful fireworks over the Bay area, which thanks to the (in)famous fogs of San Francisco, are unique in that we can see only the lower half of the fire sparks with the upper side creating some mild flashes like lightnings in the clouds.

Dorji Wangchuk: September 2013
http://dorjiwangchuk.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
My life My work My country Bhutan. Thursday, September 26, 2013. Two weeks have passed since I landed on the Peak of Learning (Sherubtse College). Yes. Literally, Kanglung, the town where Sherubtse College is located, is on a peak overlooking much of the Tashigang district. The panorama extends for hundreds of kilometers - from Arunachal Pradesh to the North to Monggar district in the South. One, two, three, go! Formally introduce to each other. It happens. We always forget the basics in life....The s...

Dorji Wangchuk: Meeting my inspiration
http://dorjiwangchuk.blogspot.com/2014/07/reno.html
My life My work My country Bhutan. Saturday, July 19, 2014. Berkeley, CA -. Here are people whom you meet just once, but who leave a huge impression in you. One such people is Reno Taini. One of the highlights of my trip to the US is meeting up with him again. I met Reno some 12 years back in Bhutan. He was conducting a workshop for teachers in Punakha. 1987) His program inspired me to include it as a sub-plot in my feature film, Nazhoen Chharo. Them He helped hundreds of troubled youth. Reno invited me ...
