Those of you that know me fairly well probably know my love of columns. I just love the detail in this shot. This is the back of the Propylaea, which is the entrance to the Acropolis.

Life As I Know It. I don't know much, but this is life as I know it. Tuesday, July 19, 2011. I look back at the last year and I'm overwhelmed with how the Lord has blessed me. I now have a great job at Michaels, the worlds largest arts and crafts store. I work for a company who's tag line is Where Creativity Happens and it is evident everywhere. I love my job! It really is perfect for me! When I take a break and look up from my computer I get to see some of my favorite art and remember some of my travels.

Life As I Know It. I don't know much, but this is life as I know it. Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Thursday the 11 th. Of February, Dallas got pounded all day long with a foot of snow! It was the biggest snow fall in the history of the DFW. Needless to say people kind of freaked out. Even though the roads never got very bad, people for the most part stayed off them, which lets be honest is safer anyway since no one here knows how to drive in snow or ice! When I got to work this is what I walked into see.

I love photographing water and because of its ethereal and intangible nature. It is also because of this nature that water is difficult for me to photograph. When you leave the shutter of your lens open and just let the movement of the water be recorded in a single image the visual effect is breathtaking. when done correctly. I really love tulips, a lot. I think they are so beautiful and charming. Especially, when they're wilting. They remain so graceful to the very end. It's almost like a ballet.so gorgeous. Rhubarb pie has always been my favorite and I don't have many favorites. It has become hard to find since the more popular version is strawberry rhubarb (which to me is an adulteration) so I haven't had a slice for a long while now. I was at the store with my roommate when she asked what this strange red celery looking thing was in the produce. IT WAS RHUBARB! I got giddy and decided to try to make my own rhubarb pie. It's so tasty.it's going to be a great week with this friend around! I got the recipe.
