From Vancouver to Hyder. After this last stop in civilization, were on the way to Alaska. It's just a long drive north. But there are a few attractions on the way. You'll find lots if you try. After a short Dairy Queen. Stop we went all the way to Lac La Hache. This was Erics (dinner) dinner and the trip orientation evening. Next day was another long driving day. The Heart of the Klondike. Welcome to Dawson City, the heart of the Klondike goldrush. We arrived in the afternoon and went directly to the tourist center to check out activities and places to go. You find the tourist center at the main road on the other side of the brand new public library and the Yukon visitor center. After that we took about an hour to explore the town. After dinner, we went back to town for a night out. A real urban bar! Chat with the local! Have a lot of fun! And then back by ferry.

From Dawson to Denali. When we left Dawson City, the landscape was still quite covered by clouds. We did not know what we had to expect. The first attraction was the border at Poker Creek.
