LimulusKnits: The Boy Hat
http://limulusknits.blogspot.com/2007/11/boy-hat.html
Limulus is one of the last genera of horseshoe crabs in the world, and the one that dominates my native Long Island Sound. Being as wonderfully successful as it is, I think they deserve some love. The boy has granted permission for me to post this pattern, so I figured that I would, since I know that simple as they may be, hats that boys will actually wear are few and far between. The Boy Hat Pattern. I have a bit of a cri...

February 28, 2008 at 11:00 pm ( family. Well, I started this blog thinking I had a lot of things I wouldn’t mind recording for posterity about knitting and maybe even the life of a working mom trying to raise an almost seven year old boy. Turns out working moms trying to raise a seven year old boy have a LOT of things to do that take up a LOT of time. In and amongst all this fun I have actually been knitting. I’ve been working away on the Tilted Duster. No photos of that yet, but I will try to take some ...

http://mollydoodlesallday.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 14, 2011. I've been doodling tote bags recently and someone suggested I go down to The Sow's Ear. And talk to Heather about selling them at the store. I called today and Heather agreed to meet with me this afternoon. I walked into the store with 5 bags hoping that she would agree to take them on consignment. I walked out with the five bags and so much more! Here is what they look like'. This one has triple pockets on the front. 100% cotton. Natural colored. Permanent ink. Links to this post.

Saturday, September 20, 2014. Eat your veggies: early Fall at the Dane County Farmers' Market. Hey Madison, it's been a while. I left the country for 2 weeks on an amazing multi-continental adventure (a week in Barcelona, then a week in Israel). The jet lag was rough, and getting back to reality has been harder than I expected. But what better way for me to get back in my groove than to eat some veggies? Trips and some pretty awesome boxes from my Harmony Valley Farm. My to-do list for the week: figure o...

Aviva In Dairyland: Resolution complete: I milked a cow.
http://avivaindairyland.blogspot.com/2014/06/resolution-complete-i-milked-cow.html
Monday, June 30, 2014. Resolution complete: I milked a cow. A lot of people get really into New Year's resolutions. I don't. Yet for 2014, I made one that I 100% intended to follow through on: I wanted to milk a cow. Many people have asked me why. I wanted to do this so badly. Here is my reasoning:. 1 I LOVE BARNYARD ANIMALS. 2 It's good to try new things. 3 It would be an awesome experience to blog about. To the show, Weeds? Cue the Green Acres. I met Farmer John Dougherty of Farmer Johns' Cheese. Let's...
