Tuesday, July 7, 2015. My goals for the FAL 3rd quarter. Patriotic runner that needs quilting and binding. Patriotic wall hanging that needs quilting and binding. I believe it is just like another I made a couple years ago, which sold right away and since I still have more panels it makes sense to get another ready for this fall's shows. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Friday I saw this Cobblestone Path. Free quilt pattern on Moda Bake Shop and decided Saturday morning I had the perfect fabrics to whip it up. So in between some summer fun activities Saturday and Sunday I got my flimsy put together. So easy to sew up but oh sew fun to look at! I am making this my goal to finish for the month of August. Friday, May 29, 2015. May ALYOF 2015 goal met. I am glad I had this all quilted last week. I took a little time out of our very stressful week to bind this today. But I did want to get it finished so I can say I have met my goal every month so far this year for ALYOF. With my Funquilter I quilted freehand U turns in the green scallops, the background received some echoed curves and some ribbon candy. The border just straight lines using a ruler. This runner is made using a block from the Block-Maker ll book for Bloc Lock half rectangle rulers. The block is called Freedom Star. I love my Bloc Lock rulers! So I won't go into detail other than to say I had a lot of starts and stops which means tying and burying threads, But it was necessary in order to obtain my goal. I gave one as a wedding gift and kept the other for myself.
